I’m a journalist and digital producer studying at DePaul University, where I’ll graduate in June 2026. I currently work as a newsletter intern at Block Club Chicago, where I design email campaigns and develop strategies to connect neighborhood reporting with readers. I also run Block Club’s WhatsApp channel and aim to find new ways to connect with audiences.

Previously, I served as the Digital Managing Editor of The DePaulia, where I combined data, web presentation and news editing to build digital products that strengthened audience engagement. In that role, I earned a Peter Lisagor Award for deadline reporting on DePaul University’s protest encampment.

WhatsApp Channel

Created a WhatsApp channel for Block Club Chicago to deliver urgent immigration news to Chicagoans most affected by escalating federal enforcement. The project received shout-outs from The Knight Foundation, American Journalism Project and the Medill Midwest Solutions Journalism Lab. Read more about the project.

Student Innovation Competition, Reynolds Institute for Journalism

Selected to develop a series of immigration “newsfluencer” videos and an email series designed to help Chicagoans understand immigration enforcement and support immigrant neighbors. Working with Block Club Chicago, immigration lawyers and community groups, the project focuses on delivering clear, community-centered updates through social media and newsletters.
