Hello! I’m a Chicago-based journalist and digital producer studying at DePaul University, where I’ll graduate in June 2026.
I got my start in journalism as a staff writer at The DePaulia, DePaul’s award-winning, student-run newspaper. I now serve as the paper’s Digital Managing Editor, where I combine my skills in data, web presentation and news editing to build news products that engage new and returning readers alike.
One of my proudest accomplishments was reporting on DePaul’s 17-day protest encampment, during which I pioneered the live blog format the paper now uses regularly for breaking news and sports. That coverage earned our team a Chicago Headline Club Peter Lisagor Award. I’ve also led a full website redesign and grew the paper's newsletter audience sixfold.
I’m currently a newsletter intern at Block Club Chicago, where I help create email products that reflect and serve the city’s diverse neighborhoods. I write and build daily newsletters that meet readers where they are — in their inboxes — while also contributing news coverage and supporting audience strategy.
Outside the newsroom, I love reading up on Illinois history, exploring new neighborhoods, and diving into archival rabbit holes — the kind that start with one old headline and end three hours later in a zoning map from the 1960s. I’m also earning a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at DePaul to strengthen my data reporting skills. I’m excited to bring my passion for local journalism, data and audience engagement to any newsroom I join.
